Rhino and Calf

This southern white rhino (or square-lipped rhinoceros) mother and calf reside in a South African reserve, which keeps them safe from poachers.
Whilst South Africa is home to the largest population of southern white rhino, populations have been reintroduced within the species historical range in Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Uganda and Swaziland. A small population survives in Mozambique. Populations have also been introduced outside of the former range of the species to Kenya and Zambia
